Black Swamp Spinners Guild (BSSG) was established in 1977 to stimulate interest in spinning and fiber arts by interaction with each other, to educate members through lectures, workshops, area groups and to encourage public interest in and appreciation of fiber arts.
The Guild meets on the second Tuesday of the month, September through May from 11 AM to 2 PM to share ideas, participate in lectures and workshops, and to provide one another with mutual support and inspiration. We currently meet at Flourish Flat 11am to 2 pm
1519 Main St, Genoa, OH 43430
Non-profit status was obtained March 21, 2017. We are classified as a 501(C)7. Among the charities we support is the Cherry Street Mission by providing hats, gloves and scarves.
New members and visitors are always welcome.
For more information, please contact Nancy Kovacs (nakmt@amplex.net) or Deb Yeagle (loftypine@yahoo.com)
Spin-a-gram is our monthly newsletter that keeps members informed about what is happening in the guild, upcoming workshops, fiber tips, sale or swap items and links to fiber shows in Ohio and surrounding states.
It's time we sit and spin awhile,
Until the world can catch our smile,
Till then the outside world is gone,
We spin our threads to a different song!
